Hero MotoCorp has launched the Hero XPulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition, featuring a Dakar-inspired design, powerful engine, and advanced off-roading features. Bookings are now open.

Hero MotoCorp, the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the world, just launched the Hero XPulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition yesterday. This motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.67 Lacs, and bookings are open as of today, January 18th, 2024. As the name suggests, this special edition is equipped with special features for its exclusivity, making it different from the regular Hero XPulse series. Here we discussed the specifications and features of this motorcycle.

Design

This motorcycle is an off-roading adventure motorcycle that has a rugged design with a light silhouette, containing regular panels as normal off-roading bikes. However, this special edition includes a livery inspired by the Dakar Desert Rally. In the fuel tank, there is a prominent sicker of the iconic Dakar logo. Additionally, the side panels include special Hero Graphics on the other side.

Engine and Power

This motorcycle is powered by a 199.6cc single-cylinder engine, producing 18.9 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 17.35 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox configured for sufficient power delivery and control over different terrains.

Features

This motorcycle features a Rally-Style Windshield for improved aerodynamics and better wind protection under high speeds. It also has a USB charger port that allows you to never run out of battery on your devices like smartphones and earbuds. Additionally, it has three ABS modes for personalised control according to environments such Road, Off-Road, and Rally.

Suspension and Dimensions

Talking about the suspension, it has adjustable USD fork shock absorbers with 250mm travel. For rugged off-roading, it has a ground clearance of 270mm that provides stability and control for bumps and lumps in off-roading. Coming down to the wheel setups, this bike rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spike wheels with ABS-enabled disc brakes.
