Hero MotoCorp Launches Xtreme 200S 4V Variant launch at the price of ₹ 1.41 Lakhs

Hero MotoCorp has introduced the Xtreme 200S 4 Valve variant in the Indian market, priced at ₹1.41 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This new offering joins the recently launched Xtreme 160R 4V and is equipped with four-valve technology, promising more power and advanced features for the full-faired motorcycle.

Compared to the existing Xtreme 200S two-valve model, the new four-valve version comes with a slightly higher price tag, approximately ₹6,000 more.

Upgraded Powertrain: Improved Performance

The Xtreme 200S 4V is powered by an updated 200 cc, four-valve, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine with fuel injection. This four-valve motor produces 18.8 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 17.35 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. Compared to its predecessor, this powertrain delivers 6 per cent more power and 5 percent more torque.

The engine is mated to the same 5-speed gearbox but has been optimized to offer better tractive effort and acceleration, as well as improved strength and durability, according to Hero MotoCorp.

Ranjivjit Singh, Chief Business Officer, India BU, Hero MotoCorp, expressed his views on the launch, stating that the Xtreme 200S demonstrates the company's focused approach towards the premium sports segment. He referred to the motorcycle as a true masterpiece for riding enthusiasts, seamlessly blending urban and sporty performance.

Notable Upgrades and Features

The 2023 Hero Xtreme 200S 4V comes with several noteworthy upgrades. It now features a new split handlebar for added comfort during long rides. Additionally, a new rear tyre hugger has been incorporated into the design. The motorcycle boasts twin LED headlamps with LED DRLs, along with LED taillights featuring light guides that create a signature look.

Moreover, the Xtreme 200S 4V is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity and offers features like turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts through its LCD instrument console. The motorcycle retains telescopic forks at the front, differing from the Xtreme 160R 4V, which boasts USD front forks. The rear suspension features a 7-step adjustable mono-shock, complemented by a 130 mm wide radial rear tyre. Single-channel ABS remains standard across all variants.

Distinct Dual-Tone Color Options

The fully-faired Xtreme 200S 4V is available in three dual-tone color options, namely Moon Yellow, Panther Black Metallic, and Stealth Edition. These colors add to the motorcycle's sporty and attractive visual appeal.

Rivals and Price Point

Competing against the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer SF and Yamaha R15 S in the same price bracket, the 2023 Hero Xtreme 200S 4V presents a compelling option for motorcyclists seeking a combination of power, performance, and advanced features. As Hero MotoCorp expands its premium sports segment offerings, it remains optimistic about building a strong connection with customers through this latest addition.

CarBike360 Says

Hero MotoCorp's launch of the Xtreme 200S 4 Valve variant reinforces the brand's commitment to delivering enhanced riding experiences to its customers. With improved power and a host of advanced features, the Xtreme 200S 4V aims to elevate the sporty motorcycle segment. As riders embrace the combination of urban agility and performance, the new Xtreme model sets the stage for a promising future within Hero's premium product lineup.
