Alpina Vision Concept Details

The Vision is a 2+2-seater coupe, measuring 5.2 metres in length. Its front features Alpina’s signature shark-nose design and a slim grille inspired by the 1956 BMW 507. The daytime running lights emit a warm white color, while the headlamps include small illuminated crystal details. Classic Alpina elements remain, such as 20-spoke wheels—22 inches at the front and 23 inches at the rear—an 'ALPINA' wordmarked chin spoiler, quad exhaust tips, and a subtle version of the Deco Set stripes.
On future production cars, BMW plans to hand-paint the Deco Set stripes instead of using decals. The interior features a two-tone finish, with a darker upper section and a lighter lower section. Full-grain leather upholstery is used, with stitching inspired by Alpina's deco lines. Open-pore wood and machined metal trims add further detail. The steering wheel has vertical twin spokes and displays the new Alpina logo in the center.
A full-width display sits at the base of the windscreen, alongside a rhomboid-shaped infotainment touchscreen and a separate passenger display, similar to the updated 7 Series. At the rear, BMW Alpina crystal glasses rise automatically from the center console. Each glass features 20 Deco lines and is secured with hidden magnets.
Powertrain and Future Models

The Vision concept uses a front, longitudinally mounted V8 engine, but BMW has not released full technical specifications. According to Autocar UK, the first production Alpina under BMW will likely use a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine without hybrid assistance. This engine could be tuned differently from other BMW Group models. Production Alpina cars will retain the Comfort Plus damper setting found in previous Alpina vehicles.
The first production Alpina model under BMW will be based on the 7 Series and is scheduled to debut in 2027. The X7 will follow as the second model to receive Alpina treatment. Alpina boss Oliver Viellechner has confirmed that the brand is considering an electric model. He noted that BMW Group has the necessary components for a high-performance electric car but did not provide a timeline for its release. For now, Alpina will focus on combustion-engine vehicles.
Viellechner stated that Alpina's annual production could reach around 2,500 units. He also mentioned strong demand for Maybach in China, suggesting Alpina may target this market. The future range will likely not include models like the B3 and B5, as these may not fit Alpina's new positioning within the BMW lineup.
