Hyundai Aura SX CNG Model Launched

Hyundai Aura SX CNG trim's engine is a 1.2-litre motor that churns out 69PS of max power and 95Nm of peak torque, in tune with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Hyundai Motor India has introduced a new model of the Aura sub-compact sedan fitted with CNG kit, known as the Hyundai Aura SX CNG.

The latest SX CNG price in India starts from an ex-showroom cost of Rs 8.57 lakh which makes it Rs 95,000 costlier over other Hyundai Aura petrol models.

The South Korean car manufacturing giant has officially launched the new Aura CNG version in the SX trim. The new Hyundai Aura engine is a 1.2-litre Kappa Twin VTVT Bi-Fuel petrol powertrain.

Talking of the Aura SX CNG engine, this Aura variant has a 1.2-litre motor that churns out 69PS of max power and 95Nm of peak torque, in tune with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

In terms of other Hyundai Aura models, they are available in a 1.2 litre petrol motor that churns out 83 PS of power and 114 Nm of torque and a turbo petrol motor that produces 100 PS of max power and 172Nm of peak torque.

Hyundai Aura SX CNG transmission mechanism is varied across specs. For instance, the Aura SX turbo engine uses manual transmission, while 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT are other options.

Hyundai Aura SX CNG features a 5.3 inch digital console with MID, 15 inch twin-shade alloy wheels, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in sync with an eight inch touch-screen infotainment, chrome-laden handles on doors, camera for reverse parking, smart push power button key, and voice recognition.

Besides the latest Aura model, Hyundai offers S CNG model priced at Rs 7.88 lakh, which is already retailing in our domestic market.

Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor sedan are the only three passenger vehicles in India, which offer an optional CNG kit.

Hyundai India's overall sales figures of April-May 2022 showed that the Hyundai Aura model was the bestselling car in the entire brand's portfolio of passenger vehicles.

The Hyundai Aura SX CNG variant will pit against the Tata Tigor CNG XZ Plus model in our country.
