The Hyundai Creta EV, recently spotted testing in India, hints at a significant design overhaul and advanced interior features. With LED DRLs, unique alloy wheels, and cues from Hyundai's electric lineup, it's poised to redefine the Creta's design languag
Hyundai Creta EV: Hyundai Creta EV has been recently spotted testing in India at an unknown place. The SUV’s spy shots are going viral across social media platforms which reveal that the SUV will get a major design overhaul. The South Korean auto giant has been working on the Creta electric project for so long. The test mule recently spotted in India was seen with EV-specific design and interiors. There’s also a video of Creta Electric on social media platforms which gives an idea of the EV’s design language and EV-specific updates.
Although the spotted test mule of the Creta EV was heavily camouflaged, the new LED DRLs were visible on the SUV which is the same used in the 2024 Creta facelift. Despite the heavy camouflaging all around, we can expect roof rails and tail lights similar to the 2024 facelifted variant of the SUV. Apart from this, the Creta EV test mule was spotted with a different set of alloy wheels which matches to the Hyundai’s signature EV-specific alloy wheel design.
The video shared on social media also reveals the interiors of the Creta EV. The test mule hints that the Creta EV will come with a steering wheel similar to the Hyundai Kona electric SUV on sale in the international markets. Apart from this, the SUV is expected to get a new dashboard, touch-enabled climate controls, a new centre console and dual-display similar to the Kona and Ioniq 5 EV. Talking about the design differences, the Creta EV will get some major design upgrades when compared to its ICE counterparts.
The Hyundai Creta EV is expected to get some advanced features inside the cabin. These features may include Level 2 ADAS tech, a panoramic sunroof and a 360-degree camera. Additionally, the test mule was also spotted with a front camera housed in the closed grille.
In terms of power, the SUV is expected to get the Kona electric’s powertrain which comes equipped with a 60 kWh battery pack that provides a driving range of 450 km on a solitary charge.
However, the automaker has not made any official announcement regarding the India debut of the Creta EV. We can expect the official launch of the SUV in mid-2025.
The Hyundai Creta EV, spotted testing in India, promises a significant design overhaul and advanced features. With LED DRLs, EV-specific alloy wheels, and interior cues from the Kona electric SUV, it hints at a futuristic design language. Anticipated features include Level 2 ADAS tech and a 60 kWh battery pack offering a 450 km range. Expected to launch in mid-2025, it heralds Hyundai's electric future.
