Dark Knight Edition Details
In countries like South Africa, Jetour has introduced Dark Knight Editions for both the T1 and T2 SUVs. Rather than a factory-fitted option, the Dark Knight Edition is available as a kit. The kit is priced at ZAR 20,000, which is approximately Rs 1.63 lakh at current exchange rates.
The Dark Knight kit focuses on aesthetics. It features a matte black exterior finish, giving the vehicle a stealthy appearance similar to the Batmobile. The package includes blacked-out badging and lettering, matte black alloy wheels up to 20 inches, and red-painted brake calipers for contrast.
Additional Customisation and Technical Specifications
Beyond the Dark Knight kit, Jetour also offers a Dark Warrior kit for the T2. This package includes 30 components designed to enhance off-road capabilities. The Dark Warrior kit costs ZAR 55,000, or about Rs 3.2 lakh.
The Jetour T2 measures 4,785 mm in length, 2,006 mm in width, and 1,880 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,880 mm and a ground clearance of 220 mm. For the Indian market, only the PHEV version is expected. This variant combines a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine with a 26.7 kWh battery and two electric motors. The system delivers a total output of 381 bhp and 610 Nm of torque.
Market Position and Customisation Options
Nic Campbell, Vice President of Jetour South Africa, stated that vehicle customization now allows owners to express their personalities. Some customers prefer the standard advanced technology and rugged design, while others choose to personalize their vehicles further. Jetour aims to provide options for all preferences, expanding modification choices to suit diverse lifestyles.
CarBike 360 Says
With its aggressive styling and feature-rich package, the Jetour T2 Dark Knight Edition strengthens the brand’s global appeal while building anticipation for its India debut. If launched competitively, it could emerge as a strong contender in the premium SUV segment, appealing to buyers seeking a bold design combined with modern technology and practicality.
