Bharat NCAP Crash Test Results
The Hyundai Venue facelift achieved a full 5-star safety rating in the latest Bharat NCAP crash tests. It scored 5 stars in both Adult Occupant Protection and Child Occupant Protection categories. This result highlights the model's enhanced safety features and build quality.
The new Kia Seltos also secured a 5-star safety rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests. It received top marks for both adult and child occupant protection. The Bharat NCAP report hinted that Kia may soon introduce new top-spec GTX (O) and X-Line (O) variants for the Seltos. These variants are expected to offer additional features and will be positioned above the current GTX(A) and X-Line(A) trims.
Upcoming Launches and Facelifts
Tata Motors is preparing a facelift for its entry-level hatchback, the Tiago. The updated Tiago was recently spotted testing under camouflage. Visible changes include a slimmer grille, redesigned headlamps, new alloy wheels, and other minor exterior tweaks. The interior is also expected to receive updates, though the mechanical components are likely to remain unchanged.
VinFast has confirmed the launch of its all-electric VF MPV 7 in India, scheduled for April 15. Pre-bookings for the model have already started. The VF MPV 7 will also be available for commercial use as the Limo Green. It features a spacious 7-seater cabin with a minimalist interior design. The electric MPV is powered by a single battery pack, offering a claimed range of up to 450 km on a full charge. This marks VinFast's third product introduction in the Indian market.
Volkswagen will debut the facelifted Taigun in India on April 9. Teaser images reveal a sleeker side profile and updated front design elements. The facelifted Taigun will include multiple new features and a new automatic gearbox option while retaining existing engine choices.
MG has relaunched the Hector diesel variant in India, with prices starting at Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). The diesel model is available in a single Sharp Pro (O) variant and joins the existing petrol lineup. It uses a 2-liter diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
