2026 Tata Tiago Facelift launched in India At Rs 4.69 lakh
The 2026 Tata Tiago facelift brings subtle design tweaks, updated features, and improved value, starting at an attractive Rs 4.69 lakh for Indian buyers.

Tata Motors has launched the 2026 Tata Tiago facelift in India, with prices starting at Rs 4.69 lakh ex-showroom, positioning the refreshed hatchback as one of the most affordable, feature-rich choices in its segment. The updated Tiago gets a sharper design, a tech-laden cabin, and a significantly longer list of features aimed at young urban buyers. It also introduces segment-first technology here.
The 2026 model brings a fresh face, a thoroughly reworked interior and a stronger safety story, all intended to keep the Tiago relevant against newer rivals from Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and others in an increasingly crowded Indian hatchback space. Let's explore the features offered by the new Tiago and how it differs from the previous model.
Updated Design & Styling

The 2026 Tata Tiago facelift adopts a much sharper, more horizontal stance, moving away from the curvier look of the outgoing car. The hatchback now features redesigned front and rear bumpers and new LED headlamps and taillamps, along with a connected-style light bar at the rear and fresh alloy wheel designs that visually bring it closer to newer Tata models.
Refreshed Interiors

Inside, the changes are even more substantial, with an all-new layered dashboard, a free-standing 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a fully digital instrument cluster giving the cabin a far more premium feel than before. Top variants pack in dual wireless phone chargers, rear AC vents, Type‑C charging ports, automatic climate control, and a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, all of which are rare in this price band.
Tata has also added a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitor, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps, and paddle shifters on AMT variants, bringing big-car tech into the budget hatchback space.
Powertrain Options
Mechanically, the Tiago facelift continues with Tata’s familiar 1.2-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 86 HP and 113 Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT gearbox. The iCNG version uses the same motor, tuned to deliver around 75 HP and 96 Nm, again with a 5-speed manual, and notably becomes the first CNG hatchback in the segment to offer an AMT option.
This combination of petrol, CNG, manual, and AMT powertrains allows Tata to address both city commuters chasing low running costs and buyers wanting an easy-to-drive automatic.
Safety Suites

Safety is a major talking point for the 2026 Tiago, with Tata now offering six airbags as standard across the range, alongside an electronic stability program, hill-hold control, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
The addition of a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, and features like auto demist and high-beam assist further bolsters the car’s safety and convenience credentials. Tata also highlights the Tiago’s four-star Global NCAP safety rating, reinforcing the brand’s positioning around safety in mass-market segments.
Market Outlook
The refreshed Tiago will continue to compete with entry and compact hatchbacks such as the Maruti Suzuki WagonR, Celerio, and Swift, along with the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. Tata is clearly betting on the facelift to pull in first-time car buyers who now expect big-car tech and safety even in an affordable hatchback.
