Kia has launched the all-new Carens Clavis EV in India, starting at Rs 17.99 lakh. This electric MPV offers seven seats, a feature-loaded cabin, and up to 490 km of range—ideal for families looking to switch to an electric future.

Kia India has once again come into the limelight, and this time with its all-new electric MPV. The Carens Clavis was one of the most premium MPVs of the existing Carens, but now Kia has expanded its portfolio and introduced the all-new Kia Carens Clavis EV. The most premium electric MPV in its segment. This seven-seater MPV will be the first electric seven-seater to be completely made in India. This in-house production will set a new benchmark for affordable electric mobility in the future.
With aggressive pricing, robust features, and a practical range, Kia’s latest offering is poised to reshape how Indian families view electric cars. Kia Carens Clavis EV: Pricing and Bookings
The all-new Kia Carens Clavis EV has launched at a highly competitive price of Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand has revealed that the car will be available in four variants only. These variants are as follows:
- HTK Plus
- HYX
- ER HTX
- ER HTX Plus
All variants will be available for customers from July 15, 2025. However, the bookings of all-new variants will commence from the date of July 22, 2025, onwards. The electric MPV offers 6 color options for customers. These colors are Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Gray, Aurora Black Pearl, Pewter Olive, Imperial Blue, and Ivory Silver Matte.

Battery, Range & Powertrain:
The all-new Kia Carens Clavis EV offers two battery configurations as an option for buyers. The first will be the standard 42 kWh battery pack, and the other will be the top-of-the-line 51.4 kWh battery pack. The power unit is equipped with a 99 kWh and a 126 kWh motor that generates around 135 to 170 PS of maximum power along with 255 Nm of maximum torque.
As per the reports, the company claims that with the 42 kWh battery pack, the car will be able to deliver an estimated range of about 404 km, whereas the top battery pack will have a range of about 490 km on a single charge.
Kia offers an 8-year/160,000 km warranty on the battery pack, positioning the Clavis EV as a worry-free option for buyers concerned about long-term EV ownership.

Design & Exterior
The Carens Clavis EV maintains the MPV’s familiar stance but integrates distinct EV design cues. The car offers the following features when getting behind the wheel. These features are as follows:
- Sealed-off front grille with a centrally located charging port
- Prominent full-width LED light bar and new aero-optimized 17-inch alloy wheels.
- Redesigned bumpers, EV-specific badging, and subtle rear tweaks to highlight its electric identity.
Interior & Features

While getting inside the cabin area, the car borrows most of its parts from the ICE-equipped car. The car offers the following features, which are listed below:
- Twin 12.3-inch displays (digital instrument cluster and infotainment)
- Floating center console and redefined gear selector area for a futuristic cabin.
- Ventilated and powered front seats, a panoramic sunroof, boss mode for rear seats, and a two-spoke multi-function steering wheel.
- Wireless charging for both rows, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear AC vents, and ambient lighting
- Bose 8-speaker sound system for premium in-car audio
Considering the safety standards, the car has a lot to offer. Kia has loaded the Clavis EV with modern safety features such as six airbags, which are mandatory in all current and pre-existing models. Even a Level-2 ADAS also comes as a standard feature with the Carens Clavis EV.
