In October 2024, Kia India had strong demand driven by targeted discounts and the ongoing holiday season. The recently introduced Carnival Limousine Plus and the EV9, which were delivered to 54 clients throughout the month, contributed to the brand's 30% increase in retail deliveries year over year.
Kia’s October 2024 Domestic and Export Sales
Kia India reported exporting 2,042 units and selling 22,753 units domestically (factory to dealer). However, domestic sales fell 3.27% month over month from 23,523 units in September 2024 and 6.56% year over year from 24,351 units sold in October 2023. However, Kia India delivered 28,545 units in total, which was 30% more than the 21,941 units delivered in October 2023.
Kia’s Latest Models
Kia India's product lineup now includes the Seltos, Sonet, Carens, and EV6, along with the newly launched Carnival Limousine Plus and EV9. This portfolio caters to a range of consumer demands, from compact SUVs to premium multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs), showcasing Kia’s focus on advanced technology and safety features.
Launch and Features of New Kia Models
The Carnival Limousine Plus and EV9 were introduced. Kia's flagship electric SUV, the EV9, is introduced through the CBU (Completely Built-Up) method in a fully equipped model with a 561-kilometer range and a 100kWh battery. With a roomy 2+2+3 seating layout, a strong diesel engine, and a distinctive style, the Carnival Limousine Plus is a luxurious MPV. Due to its opulent features, it mostly competes with the Toyota Vellfire.
Future Launches from Kia India
Looking ahead to 2025, Kia India is preparing a lineup of new models across segments. Anticipated launches include the Carens ICE facelift, a new Carens EV, the Sonet EV, an EV6 facelift, and a new compact SUV available in both ICE and EV formats.
With these plans, Kia India aims to continue its growth by catering to the evolving preferences of the Indian automotive market.
