Kia India has reached another milestone in the Indian automotive landscape. As per the report, Kia, one of the country’s leading car manufacturer brands, has recently announced the inauguration of its 100th Green Workshop in the country. This signifies its reinforcing commitment to promote sustainable mobility solutions. With the opening of its 100th workshop, the brand's commitment to transformative environmental practices is highlighted, and a significant expansion of green infrastructure to 150 workshops is promised by 2026.
The first workshop initiative was launched in 2023 at Ranks Kia, Rohtak, and is now reaching Kanpur with its 100th outlet at Bright Kia. The Green Workshop has quickly become the nucleus of Kia India's aftersales sustainability program. Aligned with the brand’s vision of a cleaner and greener future. Kia, as a brand, is poised to scale the initiative to over 150 Green Workshops by 2026. Furthermore, expanding its eco-conscious service infrastructure across the country.
Milestone Achievement and Impact
Kia Motors India's remarkable achievement of opening its 100th Green Workshop in just two years showcases its commitment to promoting sustainable electric mobility across the nation. These workshops altogether generate 7.9 MW of solar power that enables Kia India to prevent nearly 9,000 metric tons of CO₂ emissions each year. This same energy is what we can expect from 450,000 mature trees to absorb. With such initiative, Kia’s plan is a powerful step towards a cleaner, greener tomorrow.

Speaking about such a milestone, Mr. Atul Sood, Senior VC of Sales & Marketing, Kia India, said, “Achieving the milestone of 100 Green Workshops within a short span of two years underscores Kia India’s commitment to building a sustainable mobility ecosystem. Each workshop might bring us closer to a world where progress does not come at a planet’s cost.”
He later added, “This initiative, alongside our portfolio of three EVs, is a significant step in our continued efforts to reduce environmental impact and shape a cleaner, smarter mobility for our future generations.”
