The KTM RC 450 uses a 449cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. KTM has tuned this engine to deliver 56 HP and a peak torque of 39 Nm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and includes a slip-assist clutch for smoother gear shifts.

The motorcycle weighs 168 kg, making it 3 kg lighter than the CFMoto 450SR S. The RC 450 stands out with its sharp LED projector headlamp and LED daytime running lights. The design draws inspiration from the KTM 990RC R, giving it a modern and aggressive look.

The RC 450 features a single-sided swingarm and a composite subframe, enhancing its premium appeal. Suspension duties are handled by fully adjustable WP Apex USD forks at the front and a rebound and preload-adjustable WP Apex monoshock at the rear.

Market Availability and Future Plans

KTM does not plan to launch the RC 450 outside China. The company has no partnership with CFMoto in India or other global markets beyond China. As a result, the RC 450 will not be available in India.

In India, KTM is developing a new twin-cylinder, sub-500cc engine in collaboration with Bajaj Auto. This engine is expected to launch in the Duke series towards the end of next year. There is also a possibility that KTM will introduce this engine in the RC lineup, with a potential debut around late 2028. The KTM RC 450 showcases the brand's focus on performance and design, but its availability remains limited to the Chinese market for now.

CarBike 360 Says

With its 56 HP twin-cylinder engine, focused chassis and premium kit, the KTM RC 450 instantly raises the bar for 450cc supersport machines in China. While this model is currently limited to that market, its performance, value and hardware package clearly signal what future mid-capacity KTMs could offer enthusiasts in other countries, keeping excitement high around the brand’s next launches.
