Mahindra BE 6 & XEV 9e Waiting Period Extends Up To 6 Months
The BE 6 Pack One (59 kWh) and BE 6 Pack One Above (59kWh) are expected to be delivered in August 2025, while the BE Pack Two (59kWh) and BE 6 Pack Three Select (59kWh) are scheduled for July and June, respectively.
Mahindra started deliveries on March 20, dispatching over 3,000 Mahindra BE6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs, particularly the fully loaded Pack Three trim. According to an official release by Mahindra, Pack Three is the most booked, with a 41% share of BE6 and 59% for XEV 9e. As per the new update, the waiting period for BE6 and XEV 9e SUVs has increased by up to six months as the automaker consistently sees increased demand for these vehicles, particularly for extended-range variants.

Mahindra BE6 Delivery Timeline
The pre booked Mahindra BE 6 is now scheduled for delivery between June and August. The BE 6 Pack One (59 kWh) and BE 6 Pack One Above (59kWh) are expected to be delivered in August 2025, while the BE Pack Two (59kWh) and BE 6 Pack Three Select (59kWh) are scheduled for July and June, respectively.

Mahindra XEV 9e Pack One (59kWh) is set to deliver in August 2025, while the XEV 9e Pack Two and XEV 9e Pack Three Select are scheduled for July and June, respectively.
Mahindra BE6 and XEV 9e Battery & Motor Details
The homegrown brand Mahindra has offered its flagship electric SUVs in two battery pack options, 59kWh and 79kWh, which are sourced from BYD. While both get RWD motor configuration, the 59kWh trim offers 231 hp power delivery, and the 79kWh trim delivers 286 horsepower. Both EVs produce a similar torque of 380Nm. Additionally, the BE 6 accelerates 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and XEV 9e in 6.8 seconds.
Talking about the range, the XEV 9e delivered up to 542 km of range on the smaller battery pack and up to 656 km on a larger battery. On the other hand, the BE6 offers a 557 km range on standard and a 683 range on a larger battery pack. Mahindra offers a lifetime warranty on its battery packs for the first buyers of these electric vehicles.
The ex-showroom price of BE 6 and XEV 9e does not include an EV charger. Hence, when buyers purchase these EV are required to pay Rs 50,000 for a 7.2kW charger and Rs 75,000 for an 11.2kW charger. Apart from EVs, Mahindra is also seeing a rise in demand for its ICE SUVs, including XUV 3XO, XUV700, and Thar Roxx. To cater to this increased demand, Mahindra has ramped up production to minimize the waiting period, which is currency one to up to 18 months.
