In October 2024, Mahindra & Mahindra had their highest-ever SUV sales of 54,504 units, a phenomenal 24.70% year-over-year (YoY) rise, marking a historic milestone. This impressive showing demonstrates Mahindra's sustained dominance in the SUV market and the tremendous demand for its products in India.

Total Sales and Performance Insights

The total number of Mahindra vehicles sold in October 2024 was 96,648. Analyzing this achievement:

  • Mahindra's sales of passenger cars increased significantly from 43,708 units sold in October 2023 to 54,504 units sold.
  • Month-over-Month (MoM) Growth: October's sales show a 6.74% MoM rise and consistent monthly growth when compared to September 2024's sales of 51,062 units.

Mahindra's SUV sales of all popular models were significantly increased during the holiday season. Among the models that performed the best in October were:
With 1.7 lakh reservations made in the first hour after the order books opened, Roxx achieved remarkable success.

The XUV700, Bolero, and Scorpio-N models all maintained strong demand, solidifying their place in the market.

As of FY 2025, Mahindra's SUV sales have reached a robust 3,14,714 units, reflecting a 22% YoY growth over 2,58,612 units sold in the same period for FY 2024. This sustained growth highlights Mahindra’s success in maintaining high demand across its SUV portfolio.

Decline in Car and Van Sales

Contrasting Mahindra’s SUV growth, sales of cars and vans recorded a 100% decline, dropping from 10 units in FY 2024 to zero in the current fiscal period. This shift indicates a focused emphasis on the SUV and commercial vehicle segments.
