Mahindra reported a 14 percent increase in total vehicle sales for April 2026, dispatching 94,627 units. This growth was driven by strong demand for utility vehicles, a surge in three-wheeler sales, and higher export volumes. The company’s sales figures include sports utility vehicles, light commercial vehicles under 3.5 tons, three-wheelers, and export shipments.

April 2026 Sales Performance
In the utility vehicles segment, Mahindra recorded domestic sales of 56,331 units in April 2026. This marks an 8 percent rise from the 52,330 units sold in April 2025. Including exports, total utility vehicle sales reached 57,833 units. The passenger vehicles category matched the domestic utility vehicle sales, also closing at 56,331 units.
The domestic commercial vehicle segment contributed 23,427 units to the total. Within this segment, light commercial vehicles under two tonnes saw sales increase by 13 percent to 2,984 units, up from 2,652 units a year earlier. Vehicles between two and 3.5 tonnes grew by 7 percent to 20,443 units, compared to 19,141 units in April 2025.
The three-wheeler segment experienced the highest growth rate. Sales climbed 81 percent to 9,899 units, compared to 5,470 units in the same month last year. Export shipments also rose significantly, with a 47 percent increase to 4,970 units, up from 3,381 units in April 2025.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of the Automotive Division, commented on the start of the financial year. He stated, "The year 2027 has begun on a positive note in April by achieving SUV sales of 56,331 units, a growth of 8 percent, and total vehicle sales of 94,627 units, a 14 percent growth over the same month last year."
Mahindra’s early fiscal year growth reflects strong domestic demand and increased export activity. The company’s performance in April 2026 sets a positive tone for the remainder of the financial year.
