Mahindra has officially teased the XUV 700 facelift, now christened XUV 7XO, marking a stylish evolution for its blockbuster SUV. Revealed ahead of its January 5, 2026, global debut, the 7XO borrows cues from the electric XEV 9S, promising sharper lighting and a bolder grille to dominate urban and highway drives. This update arrives as Mahindra fortifies its ICE lineup amid fierce segment rivalry.
Striking Exterior Design

The XUV 7XO sports a redesigned front grille with chrome slats echoing the XEV 9S, paired with sleeker dual-pod LED headlights and updated DRL signatures for aggressive poise. New alloy wheels, revised bumpers, and a chunkier skid plate enhance road presence, while the rear gains subtle taillight tweaks and a refreshed bumper. No sheet-metal changes preserve the familiar 4695 mm length and 2750 mm wheelbase.
Tech-Loaded Cabin Upgrades
Inside, a triple-screen dashboard steals the show: a 10.25-inch driver's display, a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, and a co-driver entertainment screen, mirroring Born Electric models. Additions like massaging front seats, rear ventilation for six-seaters, 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio, and multi-zone climate control elevate luxury. Sliding middle-row seats boost versatility across 5/6/7 configurations.
Mahindra XUV 7X0 Facelift: Powertrain Specs

The car will be offering different powertrain options for the Indian customers. The first engine variant will be the 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine that produces 197 HP of power and 380 Nm of torque. Then comes the most powerful engine, the 2.2L mHawk diesel engine that produces 185 HP of power and 450 Nm of torque.
All these engine variants will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission to deliver smooth acceleration and speed. An AWD drivetrain will also be available as an option to customers. The brand claims an ARAI mileage of around 17 kmpl, balancing efficiency with thrilling dynamics suited for India's diverse roads.
Safety and Connectivity Suite

Level 2 ADAS, seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, and TPMS remain standard, bolstered by ESC and hill assist. Connected tech includes AdrenoX with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, Alexa integration, and remote features for seamless ownership.
