Mercedes-Benz is set to launch its entry-level electric SUV, the EQA, in the Indian market. The 70.5 kWh battery pack of the EQA can be fully charged in 7 hours and 15 minutes, and it can be fast charged from 10% to 80% in just 35 minutes using DC technology.
The EQA has a closed grille, connected tail lamps, revised LED headlamps, and alloy wheels that set it apart from the GLA, its combustion cousin. Its interior changes set it apart from the GLA further.
Seven color options will be offered for the EQA, including two exclusive Manufaktur paints, Mountain Grey Magno and Patagonia Grey, as well as Spectral Blue, Polar White, High-tech Silver, Cosmos Black, and Mountain Grey.
Twin 10-inch screens, ambient lighting, puddle lamps, lighted door sills, Burmester sound system, heads-up display, and a 360-degree camera are just a few of the features that make the EQA well-equipped. Advanced technologies include active parking assist, connected car features, adaptive high beam assist, and gesture controls.
Mercedes-Benz sells the EQA with two motors and a smaller 66.5 kWh battery pack option globally.
Positioning itself as a premium electric option in the compact SUV category, the Mercedes-Benz EQA will compete in the Indian market against other electric SUVs including the Kia EV6, BMW iX1, Volvo C40 Recharge, and Volvo XC40 Recharge.
