Hyundai Venue Safety Performance
The Hyundai Venue achieved a strong overall score in Bharat NCAP tests. For Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), it recorded 31.15 out of 32 points. In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the Venue scored 15.15 out of 16 points, with 'good' protection for most body regions. The lower leg and driver's chest protection were rated 'adequate'. In the side impact test, it scored a perfect 16 out of 16 points, indicating 'good' protection for the head and chest.
For Child Occupant Protection (COP), the Hyundai Venue scored 44.46 out of 49 points. It achieved 23.46 out of 24 points in the dynamic crash test, showing effective restraint for child occupants. The Child Restraint System (CRS) installation received a full 12 out of 12 points, confirming compatibility with recommended child seats. Both 18-month-old and 3-year-old dummies were well-protected in all scenarios.
Skoda Kushaq Crash Test Results
The Skoda Kushaq also performed well in Bharat NCAP assessments. In AOP, it scored 15.04 out of 16 points in the frontal offset test and 15.84 out of 16 in the side impact test. Protection for the co-driver was rated 'good' in all areas. The driver's chest and left tibia received 'adequate' ratings in the frontal test. In the side pole impact test, all body regions were rated 'good'.
For COP, the Skoda Kushaq achieved full marks in the dynamic test, with 24 out of 24 points. The CRS installation score was 12 out of 12, and the vehicle assessment score was 9 out of 13. Both child dummies were seated rearward-facing, ensuring high levels of protection.
Tata Punch Facelift Safety Scores
The Tata Motors latest model, the Tata Punch facelift, received 30.58 out of 32 points for AOP. In the frontal offset test, it provided 'good' protection to the head and neck of both front passengers.
The driver's chest and both occupants' knees were rated 'adequate', with 'good' protection for the co-driver's left knee. Thighs and lower legs received 'good' ratings. In the side impact test, most areas were rated 'good', with the driver's chest rated 'adequate'. The side pole test also indicated 'good' protection.
For COP, the Punch scored 45 out of 49 points. It achieved full marks in the dynamic test and CRS installation. Both child dummies were tested in rearward-facing seats using ISOFIX anchorages.
Kia Sonet and Tata Altroz Results
Kia Sonet
The Kia Sonet scored 14.21 out of 16 points in the frontal offset test and a perfect 16 out of 16 in the side impact test for AOP. The driver's chest protection was 'adequate', while other areas were rated 'good'. In COP, the Kia Sonet achieved 11.58 out of 12 points for an 18-month-old and 11.84 out of 12 for a 3-year-old, with both seats rearward-facing.
Tata Altroz
The Tata Altroz facelift scored 15.55 out of 16 in the frontal offset test and 14.11 out of 16 in the side impact test for AOP. Most body regions received 'good' protection, with some tibia areas rated 'adequate'. In COP, the Altroz scored 23.90 out of 24 points in dynamic tests and full marks for CRS installation. Both child dummies were well-protected in all crash scenarios.
