MG Motors Is Ready To Unveil MG Majestor in India; Launch Confirmed in February 2026

MG Motor India has finally confirmed the launch of its premium 7-seater SUV in February 2026. JSW MG Motor India's flagship SUV is ready to redefine full-size dominance next month. The car was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2025. Once the car is launched, the 2026 MG Majestor might become the flagship model for the brand under the portfolio. We have already seen several times a test mule spotted while testing.

MG will position this car above the MG Gloster and might also potentially replace the Gloster in the automaker’s current lineup. New Design Resemblance to Maxus D90

Talking about the design, the upcoming MG Majestor might share some similarities with the Maxus D90 in the global market. However, for the Indian variant, the car might follow the same aggressive design stance. The front fascia of the car might offer a large grille with split LED headlamps with integrated DRLs. Certain spy shots reveal connected LED taillights, "Majestor" badging, and muscular haunches slightly taller than the Gloster for enhanced stance.

For the 2026 iteration, the brand might bring dual-tone color options with a facelift version to elevate its premium appeal. This design evolution sets it apart from the Gloster, promising monotone and dual-shade choices to suit urban and adventure tastes alike.

​MG Majestor: Powertrain and Performance

The brand has not disclosed any further details about the powertrain unit. But we might expect the same engine used in the MG Gloster. This engine will be a 2.0L twin-turbo unit that produces 212.5 HP of power and 478.5 Nm of peak torque. Another engine will be a single turbo variant that produces about 158.7 HP of power and 373.5 Nm of peak torque.

Both these engines will be paired with an 8-speed TCA gearbox system and offer RWD and 4WD as an option. Off-road credentials shine through hill-descent control and robust chassis tuning, as seen in recent Indian trials.
