The MG Windsor EV was launched in October 2024. Since day one, the car has risen to hit the Indian EV market with subtle sales figures. One of the most important factors contributing to its success was the MG’s Battery-as-a-Service program. In May 2025, Windsor EV saw a new entrant as Windsor PRO, a top-trim variant under the lineup. The Pro model was equipped with a large 52.9 kWh battery from the standard 39 kWh battery configuration.

Later in October 2025, MG introduced the first special edition of the Windsor EV as the Inspire Edition to mark the first anniversary of the car, limited to only 300 units for the Indian market. It was priced at Rs 16.65 Lakh (ex-showroom) in India. Features like a 449 km range, Level 2 ADAS, and reclining aero-lounge seats fueled demand, with Q4 sales surging over 20%. Cumulative sales hit 50,000 by November, cementing its dominance.
