The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire is expected to make its official debut in the coming weeks, with a possible India launch soon after. Leaked images of the sub-four-metre sedan have surfaced, revealing several significant updates to its exterior design. Notably, the new Dzire will feature a segment-first electric sunroof, adding to its appeal in the compact sedan category.
Exterior Design Updates
The leaked images showcase the complete exterior overhaul of the 2024 Maruti Dzire. Key design elements include:
- A bold large grille with multiple horizontal slats
- Sleek full LED headlamps
- Stylish LED fog lights
- Redesigned front and rear bumpers
- A fresh set of alloy wheels
In addition, the rear end of the new Dzire sports modern tri-arrow LED tail lights, an integrated spoiler on the bootlid, and a 360-degree camera for enhanced visibility.
Interior Sneak Peek
Although detailed interior images have not been fully revealed, a glimpse suggests that the upcoming Dzire will feature beige upholstery paired with a darker dashboard theme, giving the cabin a premium and sophisticated look.
Engine and Transmission Options
The 2024 Maruti Dzire is expected to carry forward the reliable 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z-Series engine from the Swift, producing 80bhp and 112Nm of torque. Transmission options will likely include a five-speed manual and an AMT unit.
Additionally, a CNG variant is anticipated, although it is unclear whether it will be launched alongside the petrol version or at a later stage.
Competitors
The updated Maruti Dzire will continue to compete with rivals like the Tata Tigor, Hyundai Aura, and Honda Amaze, setting itself apart with the introduction of several new features, including the electric sunroof.
