Engine and Driving Experience

The 1.0-litre petrol engine felt punchy and responsive in daily use. Although it shares its mechanics with the Renault Triber, the Gravite appeared more eager and lively during normal driving. The engine worked well with the five-speed manual gearbox, offering smooth gearshifts without jerks. This made it easy to drive, especially when starting from a stop at traffic signals.

The steering is light, which helps drivers maneuver the three-row MPV in city traffic. The Gravite feels suitable for daily commutes and does not struggle under regular driving conditions. However, the performance of the automated manual transmission (AMT) version is still unknown. The AMT in the Renault Triber did not impress in earlier tests. More information on Gravite’s AMT performance will be available after further testing.

Conclusion

In summary, the Nissan Gravite impresses with its balanced blend of performance and fuel economy, staying true to Nissan’s reliability standard. While actual mileage varies by driving style and conditions, the Gravite delivers commendable efficiency for its class. This makes it a strong contender for Indian buyers seeking both power and practicality in their next SUV.
