STLA Large Platform to Drive Stellantis Portfolio:

The STLA Large platform is tailored for the larger vehicles within the Stellantis portfolio, specifically targeting crossovers, SUVs, and cars in the D and E segments, measuring between 4.76m and 5.13m in length. While the primary focus is on the U.S. market, Stellantis has confirmed the adaptation of European factories, including the Alfa Romeo facility in Cassino, Italy, to produce STLA Large EVs for local markets. Dodge and Jeep will be the first brands to utilize this platform, with anticipated models including the Charger muscle car and Wagoneer S SUV, both set to launch in the near future.
Diverse Applications Across Stellantis Brands:
Following the initial releases from Dodge and Jeep, Alfa Romeo is assured to use the STLA Large platform for a luxury SUV and an electric replacement for the Giulia sedan. Simultaneously, Maserati plans to launch an EV replacement for the Levante SUV. Stellantis aims to underpin eight production cars, including at least one from Chrysler, by the end of 2026, showcasing the platform's versatility and potential across various brands.
Performance and Power:
Stellantis boasts that the STLA Large platform will deliver exceptional performance, with the quickest models achieving a 0-100kph time of around 2.0 seconds. The power output of these EVs is expected to surpass the legendary Hellcat V8, marking a new era in electric vehicle capabilities.
Innovative Electric Architecture:
All STLA Large-based EVs will feature e-axles, compact units comprising motors, inverters, and gearboxes. The standard electrical architecture is 400V, but an optional upgrade to an 800V system will enable charging rates of up to 270kW. The platform supports various battery chemistries and drivetrain technologies, indicating the potential for future advancements in range and performance.
