Nissan Motor India has introduced a new vehicle exchange program in partnership with used car platform Spinny. The program promises to complete the evaluation and exchange process within 55 minutes. Announced on March 20, 2026, the initiative is available across Nissan dealerships in 30 cities nationwide. Customers can access the service at physical dealership counters or through Spinny's digital platform.
Key Highlights
- Nissan India and Spinny launch a 55-minute vehicle exchange program in 30 cities
- Customers can access the service at dealerships or via Spinny's digital platform
- Spinny-issued Selling Letter replaces the need for transferred RC documentation
- Exchange bonus available for customers purchasing new Nissan vehicles
Program Details and Process
The exchange program covers the entire current Nissan lineup. Dedicated Spinny evaluators are stationed at Nissan sales touchpoints to assess trade-in vehicles. Evaluations are conducted on the spot, based on demand and scheduled appointments. Customers can choose to exchange their vehicles either at Nissan dealerships or by using Spinny's digital interface.
Those who exchange their vehicles through the program are eligible for an exchange bonus when purchasing a new Nissan vehicle. A significant procedural update is the acceptance of a Spinny-issued "Selling Letter" as valid proof of exchange. This change eliminates the need for transferred Registration Certificate (RC) documentation, aiming to simplify the process for car buyers.
Customer Benefits and Company Statements

The program consolidates buying, selling, and exchanging vehicles into a single location. This one-stop approach seeks to streamline the upgrade process for customers. Nissan states that the 55-minute timeline is a major improvement over traditional exchange processes, which often require multiple visits and extensive paperwork.
Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, said the initiative demonstrates the company's commitment to a customer-first ecosystem. He emphasized that the partnership with Spinny and the faster exchange process enhance convenience, transparency, and value for both customers and dealer partners. Vatsa also noted that this move supports Nissan's broader growth strategy in India.
Niraj Singh, founder and CEO of Spinny, described the collaboration as a joint effort to make vehicle upgrades more transparent and rewarding for buyers across the country.
