Ola Electric is making waves in India again. The company is making bold moves to improve its services and overall operations. In a recent video on X, the founder of Ola Electric - Bhavish Aggarwal announced that Ola Electric is launching 4000 new stores on 25th December 2024 across India. Ola is now focusing on covering the entire country including every major district and town across all states and some UTs as well.

"With EVs, you will save Rs 4000 every month. Apki savings badhegi, apka paisa bachega with this Savings Wala Scooter" - he added.

According to the claims, around 3,200 showrooms will equipped with dedicated service centers to increase the after-sales service of the company. The company will also provide training to over 1 lakh third-party mechanics to deliver better service quality and availability of service personnel in maximum areas. Through these measures, Ola Electric is expecting to enhance the overall customer experience and meet the production delivery timelines.

The reason behind this massive expansion could be the recent troubles Ola was facing regarding their service complaints. According to the reports, there are more than 10,600 complaints that have been reported to the (Central Consumer Protection Authority) CCPA regarding poor service quality and delivery delays. As a result, Ola Electric is facing scrutiny right now and is under investigation by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) due to these complaints for alleged violations of consumer rights.

Following these troubles, Ola has taken several corrective measures such as expanding its service network and providing training to a large number of mechanics to improve services. Additionally, Ola has also appointed Ernst and Young (EY), the global consulting firm to manage the spare parts and inventory of the company for the next three months.

As Ola Electric gears up for this expansive rollout, it is expected that the company will significantly improve the overall quality of its vehicle servicing, timely deliveries, and overall operations.
