Renault India to Introduce 5 New Cars in Next Two Years
While the automaker plans to launch a new generation Triber and Kiger, the brand plans to develop premium B- and C-segment SUVs
After acquiring a 100% stake in the RNAIPL venture and taking the lead on prospects for both Nissan and Renault in India's vehicle production, the French automobile manufacturer plans to strengthen its position in the Indian market. It recently inaugurated a new design center and has officially announced the launch of five new models in the country in the next two years.

While the automaker plans to launch a new generation Triber and Kiger, the brand plans to develop premium B- and C-segment SUVs. It also confirmed that these premium models would be the new-generation Duster and the new Bigster (in three-row guise). The B and C segment SUVs have seen increased demand in the last few years and have massive potential for automobile manufacturers.
Both cars will be introduced as the flagship offerings from the automaker, rivaling best-selling B and C segment SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, MG Astor, Honda Elevate, and Tata Curvv.
Renault also aims to enter the electric vehicle (EV) segment as part of its multi-powertrain approach for the Indian market. According to this plan, the French automobile manufacturer will introduce ICE, hybrid, CNG, and even electric vehicle (EV) variants of its flagship models. The upcoming Duster and Bigster are expected to be equipped with hybrid powertrains and will likely offer electric vehicle (EV) options.
