Sales Performance and Market Share
The first time Royal Enfield crossed the 3 lakh mark was in October to December 2025, when it dispatched 300,426 units during the festive season. The brand continues to dominate the 350cc motorcycle segment in India. Of the 301,174 motorcycles sold in Q1 FY27, 280,136 units were from four key models: Classic 350, Bullet 350, Hunter 350, and Meteor 350.
These four models alone accounted for an 85 per cent share of the 350cc segment, which saw total sales of 327,697 units in Q1 FY27. The segment itself grew by 49 per cent year-on-year. Bajaj Auto followed with a 7 per cent share, selling 23,844 units. Honda secured a 6 percent share with 18,248 units, while TVS held a 2 percent share with 5,410 units.
Performance in Other Segments
In the 350-500cc segment, Royal Enfield's Guerrilla 450 and Himalayan 450 models together sold 9,883 units. This represents a 25 per cent increase year-on-year and gave the brand a 59 per cent share of the segment's 16,707-unit total sales.
In the 500-800cc category, Royal Enfield sold 11,155 units in Q1 FY27. This figure is down 9 per cent compared to the previous year. Despite this decline, the company maintained a dominant 97 per cent share of the segment.
Annual Sales Outlook
At its current Q1 sales rate, Royal Enfield is on track to exceed 12 lakh annual domestic sales for the first time in FY27. This would surpass its previous record of 1,107,343 units achieved in FY26. The company's continued growth highlights its strong position in the Indian motorcycle market, particularly in the mid-size segment.
