Royal Enfield Scram 450 to Launch in 2027 with New Features and Design
Royal Enfield will launch the Scram 450 in 2027, featuring a 452cc engine, new chassis design, and advanced features. Positioned between the Guerrilla and Himalayan 450, it targets riders seeking versatility and modern technology.

Royal Enfield will introduce the Scram 450 in 2027, joining the Himalayan 450 and Guerrilla roadster on the same platform. The Scram 450 will bridge the gap between its siblings, featuring the same 452cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder 'Sherpa' engine. However, it will have significant chassis changes and distinct styling.
Key Highlights
- Royal Enfield Scram 450 to launch in 2027 with 452cc liquid cooled engine
- Scram 450 features 19 inch front wheel and unique single piece seat design
- Expected price between Rs 2.49 lakh and Rs 3.37 lakh ex showroom Chennai
Key Mechanical and Design Details
The Scram 450 will use a 19-inch front wheel, unlike the Himalayan's 21-inch, to lower seat height and improve accessibility. The rear wheel will remain a 17-inch unit, as seen on both the Himalayan and Guerrilla. Dual-purpose tyres will be standard, but it is unclear if the wire-spoke rims will support tubeless tyres. Royal Enfield may also offer alloy wheels, similar to those on the Scram 440.
The front suspension will feature an upside-down (USD) fork like the Himalayan, while a monoshock will be present at the rear. Suspension travel figures are not confirmed. For comparison, the Guerrilla 450 offers 140mm front and 150mm rear travel, while the Himalayan 450 provides 200mm at both ends. The Scram 450 may follow the strategy used for the Scram 411, which had slightly reduced travel compared to the Himalayan 411.
The Scram 450's fuel tank shape will resemble the Guerrilla's, but it will have a unique scooped single-piece seat and a redesigned rear section. Numbered boards will flank the seat, echoing the design of the Triumph Tracker 400. The riding position will be upright, similar to the Himalayan, but with some differences.
Features, Performance, and Pricing

The Scram 450 will include a tall beak and a conventional front mudguard. The beak will protect riders from debris during off-road use, while the mudguard will shield the radiator and frame on the road. The exhaust muffler will be new, upswept, and more circular compared to the slimmer units on the Himalayan and Guerrilla.
Expected output is around 40hp and 40Nm of torque, matching its platform mates, though Royal Enfield may adjust the engine tune and final drive ratio. The Scram 450 will feature a round TFT display, as seen on other 452cc Royal Enfield models, allowing smartphone connectivity and Google Maps screencasting. Additional features will include switchable dual-channel ABS, riding modes, and a slip/assist clutch.
Pricing for the Scram 450 will likely fall between the Guerrilla (Rs 2.49 lakh - Rs 2.72 lakh) and the Himalayan 450 (Rs 3.06 lakh - Rs 3.37 lakh), ex-showroom, Chennai. The Scram 450 is expected to reach showrooms in the first half of 2027. Its main competitor will be the 350cc Triumph Scrambler 400, priced between Rs 2.59 lakh and Rs 2.89 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
