Details of the Recall
The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers' recall information site reports that the edge of the inner frame of the Kodiaq’s front seats may compromise the effectiveness of the side airbag when deployed. Skoda states that this issue could reduce the protective effect of the side airbag, increasing the risk of injury to passengers during an accident.
Skoda India will contact owners of the affected vehicles. Customers will be asked to visit authorized service centers, where technicians will inspect and either fix or replace the affected part at no cost. Owners can also check if their vehicle is included in the recall by entering the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on Skoda’s recall campaign website or by contacting an official Skoda after-sales service centre.
