Skoda Kylaq Hits 50,000 Production Milestone in One Year

Skoda Auto India has rolled out the 50,000th unit of its breakout sub-4-meter SUV, the Kylaq, from the Chakan plant in Pune, just one year after deliveries kicked off. Launched in late 2024 with customer handovers starting January 2025, this compact contender has quickly become the brand's bestseller, clocking 46,872 retail sales through December 2025.

The milestone underscores Skoda's sharp focus on India-specific engineering via the MQB-A0-IN platform, blending robust build quality with city-friendly dimensions that resonate with buyers. Recent price hikes of up to Rs 33,000 reflect rising input costs but haven't dented enthusiasm, as the SUV contributed to the group's 36% YoY growth in 2025.
