Stark Future has launched a new enduro motorcycle Varg EX. This electric bike is a road-legal version of the previously released MX variant. Varg EX is equipped with enhanced features and a larger battery for extended range. This bike is suitable for both off-roading and daily use. According to the reports, Royal Enfield acquired some stakes in Stark Future last year which shows the company’s interest in electric motorcycle technology.
Specifications of Varg EX
This electric motorcycle has a 7.2 kWh battery for better range on a full charge. Stark Future has released two versions of this motorcycle - the Alpha variant which delivers 80 bhp and a lower variant which produces 60 bhp. Riders can choose from five different riding modes, that are configured for customised power output from 10 bhp and 80 bhp depending on their needs.
Weighing only 120 kg, the Varg EX is lightweight and based on a sturdy steel trellis frame. It rides on a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel, with Kayaba suspension providing 300 mm of travel at the front, an advantage for off-road, enduro motorcycles. A standout feature of this motorcycle is its innovative instrument cluster, which resembles a removable smartphone and is referred to as the Stark Arkenstone.
Availability
The Varg EX will be available for purchase in Europe from the next year, competing against high-end models from KTM. Unfortunately, it is not expected to be launched in India anytime soon.
