We have seen Tata Safari with green licence plates first appeared online last year. It was thought to be a test mule for an electrified Tata Safari.

That served as Tata Motors' first indication that it was planning to electrify the Harrier/Safari platform. The largest producer of electric vehicles in India is Tata Motors.
They had no actual rivals up until this point. Tata Motors, however, was forced to act after Mahindra unveiled the XUV800 Electric prototype and launched the XUV400.
Just a matter of time would pass before Tata unveiled a vehicle to compete with the impending XUV800 (XUV700 electric version). And they did that when they debuted the Harrier EV concept at the 2023 Auto Expo.
Tata Harrier Ev launch in 2024
In terms of the Harrier EV, the majority of the sheet metal remains the same as the Harrier diesel. The front fascia has undergone a modification.
Since there isn't much need for air intake, the standard grille has been substituted with a closed one. The horizontal slats in this innovative closed grille form an intriguing design.
Numerous vertical slats forming a bottom grille beneath it are used to circulate air and cool batteries. Additionally, there are front parking sensors.
The major difference from the ICE Harrier is a triangle headlight design that looks stylish and contemporary. Compared to the outgoing Harrier, LED DRLs are smaller and mounted above the headlights.
In terms of alloy wheel designs, Tata appears to have drawn heavily from Hyundai. The alloy wheels that the Harrier EV wears closely resemble those on the Hyundai Alcazar.
A subdued EV emblem may be seen on the bottom of the front doors. Redesigned LED components inside of its taillights are now joined by a long LED bar at the back.
There are some anticipated new features on the inside. The main difference is a larger 10.25" touchscreen system. The horizontal unit on Altroz Racer is the same, but this one has a nicer user interface.
The outdated 7" display with the uninteresting user interface found on the existing Altroz and Nexon is likely to be replaced by this screen.
Specification and Performance
Gen II EV architecture, which is one step better than Gen I and currently used in Nexon EV, will be present in Harrier EV. On a full charge, the battery pack should have a capacity of between 60 and 80 kWh and provide a range of roughly 500 km.
The electric price of the Tata Harrier could begin from around Rs 35 lakh, ex-sh. The Harrier EV will compete with the Mahindra XU800 electric SUV when it is released in 2024. The same was made public as a functioning prototype in August of last year.
In 2024, the Mahindra XUV800 is also anticipated to go on sale. Both SUVs will have dual motor setups with AWD along with similar
