Tata Motors smashes Q3 FY26 records with 171K PV units sold, EV volumes up 49%, and Nexon leads SUVs. Domestic growth is 21%, exports explode and positioning as India's No. 2 carmaker amid booming demand.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. reported its highest-ever quarterly wholesales of 171,013 units in Q3 FY26 (Oct-Dec 2025), marking a robust 22.3% year-on-year growth from 139,829 units in Q3 FY25. Domestic sales led with 168,616 units, up 20.9% YoY, while exports soared 491.9% to 2,397 units, fueled by strong global demand. This performance propelled Tata to the No. 2 position in India's PV market, overtaking Mahindra, which sold about 1.80 lakh units, and Hyundai, which sold around 1.70 lakh units.

Domestic PV sales hit 50,046 units in December 2025, up 13.1% YoY, with total monthly sales (including exports) at 50,519 units, a 14.1% rise. Electric vehicle sales, including Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., jumped 49.5% to 24,103 units in Q3, with December at 6,906 units with 24.2% growth.
