Tata Motors Hits Record Q3 FY26 PV Sales, Sold Around 50,046 Units

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. reported its highest-ever quarterly wholesales of 171,013 units in Q3 FY26 (Oct-Dec 2025), marking a robust 22.3% year-on-year growth from 139,829 units in Q3 FY25. Domestic sales led with 168,616 units, up 20.9% YoY, while exports soared 491.9% to 2,397 units, fueled by strong global demand. This performance propelled Tata to the No. 2 position in India's PV market, overtaking Mahindra, which sold about 1.80 lakh units, and Hyundai, which sold around 1.70 lakh units.
The Indian PV industry grew steadily in Q3 FY26, with domestic wholesales reaching approximately 10.7 lakh units, up 8.2% YoY, driven by SUV preference and cleaner powertrains. Calendar year 2025 capped Tata's fifth straight year of record sales at 587,218 units, including a peak EV volume of 81,125 units. Retail registrations crossed 200,000 units for the first time, reducing dealer inventory to 18 days and signaling demand-led expansion.
