Tata Motors is once again sweetening the deal for electric vehicle (EV) buyers with an enticing free charging offer. According to our dealer sources, customers who purchase the Nexon EV or Curvv EV between December 9 and December 31, 2024, will receive complimentary charging at Tata Power EZ’s extensive network of over 5,500 charging stations across India.
Details of the Offer
This initiative mirrors a similar scheme that was rolled out during the festive season from September 10 to October 31, 2024. Buyers who register their vehicle on the Tata Power EZ Charge mobile app will have the service activated within two days.
However, the offer comes with some conditions:
- Eligibility: The vehicle must be privately registered and purchased directly from a Tata Motors dealership.
- Limits: The free charging benefit is capped at 1,000 units of electricity or six months from the purchase date, whichever comes first. After exceeding this limit, customers will be billed at the standard tariff.
Push for Year-End Sales
This promotional strategy is designed to boost sales of Tata’s popular electric SUVs as the year draws to a close. The Tata Nexon EV, a long-standing favorite in the Indian EV market, is priced between ₹12.49 lakh and ₹17.19 lakh (ex-showroom).
Meanwhile, the Curvv EV, a premium coupe-SUV offering, comes at a higher price range of ₹17.49 lakh to ₹21.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Although the Curvv EV doesn’t currently come with discounts, some dealers are offering benefits of up to ₹2 lakh on select 2023 model-year Nexon EV units, making it an attractive proposition for buyers seeking additional value.
Convenience of Tata Power EZ Network
Tata Power EZ’s charging network is one of the largest in India, offering fast and reliable charging options in urban and highway locations. This free charging offer aims to alleviate range anxiety for new EV adopters and further bolster Tata Motors’ position as the leader in the Indian EV segment.
Looking Ahead
As the Indian EV market continues to grow, offers like these demonstrate Tata Motors’ commitment to driving EV adoption. With competitive pricing and benefits, the Nexon EV and Curvv EV are well-positioned to attract both first-time and repeat EV buyers. Customers looking to make the most of this scheme should act quickly, as it is available only for a limited period.
