Tata Nexon prices see a strategic increase of up to Rs. 20,000 in February 2024, maintaining its feature-rich appeal.

Tata Motors, a prominent player in the sub 4m SUV segment, has announced a price hike for its best-selling Nexon model by up to Rs. 20,000. Despite facing tough competition, the Nexon has emerged as one of India's top-selling and safest vehicles. In a strategic move, Tata Motors aims to maintain its success momentum with the Nexon and Punch models.
Tata Motors has been enjoying remarkable success in the sub 4m segment, largely driven by the popularity of the Nexon and Punch models. Among them, the Nexon has been a standout performer, with over 15,000 units sold in December 2023, securing its position as India's best-selling car. Capitalizing on this success, Tata Motors has decided to implement a marginal price increment for the Nexon in February 2024.
The Tata Nexon lineup boasts an extensive range of variants, each catering to specific preferences under the Smart, Pure, Creative, and Fearless main trim levels. These personas further branch into various sub-trims, offering a diverse array of features and equipment. The February 2024 price revision sees an increase of up to Rs. 20,000 across all powertrain configurations.
While the base variant witnesses a moderate increase, a consistent pattern emerges for the rest of the lineup, with a uniform price hike of Rs. 10,000. The dual-tone paint scheme variants, however, experience a more substantial revision, with a price increase of Rs. 20,000. The revised prices now range as follows:
Variant Type | Price Range (Ex-Showroom) |
Petrol MT | Rs. 8.15 lakh to Rs. 13.6 lakh |
Petrol AMT | Rs. 11.8 lakh to Rs. 13 lakh |
Petrol DCA | Rs. 12.3 lakh to Rs. 14.8 lakh |
Diesel MT | Rs. 11.1 lakh to Rs. 15 lakh |
Diesel AMT | Rs. 13.1 lakh to Rs. 15.6 lakh |
Despite the price revision, Tata Nexon retains its impressive array of features, equipment, and technological advancements. Powertrains, safety features, and other specifications remain unchanged. Tata Nexon continues to stand out as a feature-packed option in its segment.
While the revised pricing may position the Nexon slightly higher than its immediate rivals, it still offers the most extensive list of features and equipment among its competitors. The Nexon comes with two engine options – a 1.2L 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine and a 1.5L 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine, paired with various transmission options.
