Key Highlights
- Tata Tiago facelift launches on 28 May with updates for both ICE and EV versions
- Exterior changes include new headlamps bumpers wheels and grille with distinct EV styling
- Interior upgrades may add digital instrument cluster wireless charging and new upholstery theme
Exterior and Interior Changes
The new Tiago will feature redesigned exteriors. Tata will align its design with the Altroz and Punch facelifts. The car will have sleeker headlamps, new bumpers, new wheels, and a slimmer grille. The tailgate will also see some changes. Tata may introduce new color options for the updated model. The EV version could get a distinct grille to set it apart from the ICE variant.
Inside, the Tiago already offers a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an illuminated steering wheel. The facelift is expected to add a digital instrument cluster and wireless charging. Adjustable rear headrests may also be included. Tata may offer a new upholstery color theme for the cabin.
Engine, Features, and Pricing
The ICE Tiago will not see mechanical changes. It will continue with the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine. This engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or an automatic manual transmission (AMT). A factory-fitted CNG option remains available for buyers.
The Tiago EV is expected to offer a slightly increased driving range. Tata has not confirmed the exact figures yet. As of now, the Tiago ICE is priced between Rs. 5.45 lakh and Rs. 8.99 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The Tiago EV is priced from Rs. 8.34 lakh to Rs. 11.68 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Tata is also planning similar updates for other models in the coming months. These updates may include both ICE and EV versions and could involve rebranding efforts.
CarBike 360 Says
With the upcoming facelift, Tata Motors aims to reinforce the Tiago’s position in the competitive hatchback segment by enhancing both its petrol and electric offerings. The updates are expected to bring improved styling, better features, and greater value, making it an even more compelling choice for urban buyers looking for affordability, efficiency, and modern appeal.
