Tesla has opened its first in-mall charging station at Nexus Seawoods in Navi Mumbai, expanding its Supercharger network in India. The new facility, launched on April 6, 2026, marks Tesla's first charging site inside a shopping mall in the country. This addition increases Tesla's national charging infrastructure to five locations with a total of 20 Superchargers and 14 Destination Chargers.

New Charging Facility Details

The Nexus Seawoods station is located in the B1 parking area of the mall. It features eight chargers, including four V4 Superchargers and four Destination Chargers. The V4 Superchargers provide DC fast charging at peak speeds of 250 kW. The Destination Chargers offer AC charging at 11 kW.

According to Tesla, a Model Y can gain up to 275 km of range in 15 minutes using the Superchargers. This range is enough for a round trip between Navi Mumbai and Pune. The charging station is designed to support both quick top-ups and longer charging sessions for Tesla owners.

Expansion of Tesla’s Charging Network

With the new site, Tesla now operates charging stations in Gurugram, Delhi, Mumbai, and Navi Mumbai. The network consists of 20 Superchargers and 14 Destination Chargers across these cities. Tesla reports that its Supercharger network maintains an uptime of 99.95%.

The company aims to make charging accessible and convenient for its customers. The Tesla app allows owners to manage the charging process, including navigation, battery preconditioning, and payment, all within a single platform.

Additional Services and Features

Alongside the charging station, Tesla has opened a pop-up store in the mall’s main atrium. Visitors can participate in guided vehicle walkarounds, test drives, and interactive product experiences. The store highlights Tesla’s technology, safety features, and vehicle performance.

The Model Y is currently available in India with a starting price of ₹59,89,000. Home charging support is included as part of the ownership package. Tesla continues to expand its presence in India, focusing on infrastructure and customer experience.
