Tata Motors is gearing up for the unveiling of the next generation of Tata Sierra today. This much-anticipated model will set the stage for a new era of premium SUVs in India. Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles reignited the nameplate of Sierra with state-of-the-art technology, contemporary design, and diverse powertrain options. Enthusiasts are eager to see how Tata blends nostalgia with next-gen automotive innovation, promising a product that could redefine the midsize SUV segment.
The new Sierra will also be a tribute to the SUV of the 1990s. The new Tata Sierra will underscore Tata’s commitment to future mobility as well as traditional strengths. The vehicle is poised to go against rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and MG ZS EV. Let's take a look at the possible features that Indian customers may receive.
The new-generation Sierra sensationally recreates the 1990s aurora. The exterior design of the car might follow the iconic boxy silhouette and come with the three-door layout. However, for a more practical approach, we can expect a 5-door model from the brand. Tata has also recreated the aesthetics of the original Sierra Alpine with an innovative pillar design, with a subtle use of black glossy glass to reduce visual bulk.
We can also expect LED lighting, a striking grille-less fascia for the EV, flush door handles, and glossy black highlights that make it stand out on today’s roads. Tata’s take on balancing rugged appeal with urban sophistication is evident in the upright, high-bonnet stance and stylish, larger 19-inch alloy wheels.

Talking about the features, the new Sierra promises spaciousness and luxury contours thanks to its boxy proportions and premium materials. Tata introduces a triple-screen layout—dedicated displays for the driver, infotainment, and co-passenger. The main display might be about 12.3 inches, along with a 10.2-inch infotainment setup. Moreover, the cabin might come with the following advanced features:
The inclusion of a head-up display is likely, which would be a first for Tata vehicles. As safety is the top priority for Tata, the brand can provide 6 airbags under Sierra as standard across all variants. Other safety features expected to be included are ADAS Level 2, lane change departure, cruise control, digital IRVM, and a 360-degree camera.

The Tata Sierra will offer various powertrain options for the Indian customers, which are mentioned below:

The Sierra will first arrive in ICE versions, followed swiftly by its all-electric iteration. The brand has not revealed any details about the pricing, but we can expect that the petrol version of the Sierra might be priced at Rs 12 lakh onwards.
With its grand unveiling today, the Tata Sierra marks more than just the return of an icon. Retro-inspired yet technologically advanced, the new Sierra sharpens Tata’s competitive edge and is poised to set new benchmarks in design, safety, and powertrain technology in the Indian premium SUV market.
