1964-1979 Ambassador

In 1964, the Ambassador received a major facelift with the launch of the Mark II version. The car's body was made more angular and the grille was redesigned. The Mark II was powered by a more powerful 1.5-liter BMC B-series engine that produced 50 horsepower.
1980-1989 Ambassador

The Mark III version of the Ambassador was launched in 1980. It featured a more modern, square-shaped body and a wider track. The Mark III was powered by a 1.8-liter Isuzu engine that produced 62 horsepower.
1990-1995

The Mark IV version of the Ambassador was launched in 1990. It was largely similar to the Mark III, but featured a few updates such as new upholstery and dashboard.
