The Upcoming Citroen eC3 Euro Variant Spied Testing In India
Citroen eC3 Euro spec caught in India: 4m crossover EV with 320 km WLTP range, 100 kW fast charge, and advanced tech.

Citroen is making its way to enter the Indian electric automotive market in 2026. The brand recently made headlines with the all-new Euro-spec variant of the eC3 caught spying while testing on Indian roads. This testing model was caught while wrapped under a light camouflage and a bold red-black dual-tone paint scheme. This car was already unveiled in Europe in 2023. However, we do not know if the brand will make a different version for the Indian market or rebrand the car with subtle tweaks.
Citroen has already launched the Basalt X and Aircross X under the 2.0 Strategy. Under this new brand strategy, Citroen is pushing its limits to provide better driving aids with comfort and features for Indian customers. Now, with the recent spy shots, testing of its only EV, the eC3, signals a possible India launch to strengthen Citroen’s electric lineup. Let’s take a close look at the upcoming eC3.
Bold New Design
A recent spy shot surfaced on the internet, which shows a European variant of the upcoming Citroen eC3. By looking at the recent camouflage shots, we can notice that the car’s front fascia has sharp C-shaped LED DRLs, a fresh emblem, and a two-tone body finish, giving a crossover vibe. The cabin upgrades to a 10.25-inch touchscreen, two-spoke wheel, and head-up display, outshining the simpler Indian interior.
Talking about its dimensions, the new eC3 might come with Citroen's Progressive Hydraulic Cushions to deliver plush ride quality, with 16-17 inch wheels and 163 mm ground clearance, ideal for city drives and mild rough roads. Rear styling from the Oli concept adds a modern twist absent in the local model.
Citroen eC3: Enhanced Battery Configuration & Specs

As the car was heavily camouflaged, we couldn't get any further insights into its technical specifications. Even the brand did not disclose any further details regarding its specifications. However, we can expect a 113 HP motor with 120 Nm torque to hit 100 kmph in 11 seconds and max out at 135 kmph.
The 44 kWh battery enables 100 kW DC charging (20-80% in 26 minutes) and 11 kW AC, plus a 200 km-range base option. The most prominent highlight of the car will be its 'Smart Car' platform. It gains stronger crash protection and space for the bigger battery. Safety shines with six airbags and ADAS like lane warnings and auto braking.

Is an Indian Launch Possible?
This car would be possible to enter the Indian market. As the pre-production model has been tested in December 2025. This facelift could launch above Rs 20 lakh, a premium over the Rs 11.5 lakh India eC3. It will give a tough fight to its rivals like the Tata Tiago EV, using local assembly for exports and urban buyers. This fits India's EV surge, offering a sophisticated Citroen choice in the sub-4m segment. Official details are pending, but the spy shots position it as a game-changer.
Conclusion
As Citroen's Euro-spec eC3 gears up for an Indian debut, it promises to redefine affordable EVs with superior range, tech, and style. Will this bold upgrade electrify the market and challenge rivals?
