What could have been better?The eC3 marked the French automaker’s entry into the electric market and targeted urban buyers looking for an affordable, practical, and stylish electric hatchback. The eC3 is manufactured in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, and is available across major Indian cities.
Exterior Design
The exterior design elements of the eC3 are its front fascia accentuated by Citroën’s signature grille and split headlamp setup. The other design features are LED daytime running lights (DRLs), 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels (in higher variants), front and rear skid plates, and roof rails.
Interior & Features
Step inside the eC3, and the cabin greets its customers with space and comfort. The eC3’s other features are a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. More additional features are the semi-digital instrument cluster, keyless entry, manual air conditioning, and height-adjustable driver’s seat, which add to the user-friendly experience.
The safety features within the eC3 include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors. The eC3 integrates advanced connected car technology through the MyCitroën Connect app, offering 35 smart connectivity features such as vehicle tracking, driving behaviour analysis, emergency services call, auto crash notification, and over-the-air software updates.
Powering the Citroën eC3 is a 29.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack paired with an electric motor that delivers 57 PS (56.21 bhp) and 143 Nm of torque. This setup provides a claimed ARAI-certified range of 320 km on a single charge. The eC3 supports DC fast charging. allowing the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in just 57 minutes, while a standard 15A plug point charger takes about 10.5 hours for a full charge. The EV can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 6.8 seconds, with a top speed of 107 km/h.
