The Upcoming Volvo EX30 Electric SUV Teases Ahead Of India Launch
Volvo India amps up excitement with teaser releases of the EX30 Electric SUV, showcasing a striking minimalist design, advanced safety tech, and sustainable interiors.

Volvo Cars India is ramping up its preparations for the launch of its exclusive EX30 electric SUV in the Indian market. The electric vehicle has been spotted testing before its official debut. However, this is one of the very first teasers to be released by the company through social media. This hints that the launch of the vehicle will be coming in the following months.
The EV has already been sold in the global market, while the brand might be sold in India as a CKD unit. The car will be placed below the EX40 variant. The upcoming EX30 is expected to be priced at Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. Let us check out the insights of the upcoming EX30 and what it might offer to Indian buyers.
Volvo EX30: Design
The EX30 shares a resemblance with its previous generations and carries the same design language. The car is expected to feature a sleek front, complemented by Thor’s Hammer LED DRLs, flush door handles, and split C-shaped LED taillights. The charging point is located on the vehicle's rear left quarter panel. Thus, the brand will provide a charging utility home kit as well as installation services at the time of delivery.
Powertrain Specs
Globally, the EX30 comes with two battery configuration options: 51 kWh and 69 kWh, offering ranges of 344 km and 480 km, respectively, on a single charge. The India-spec EX30 is strongly tipped to arrive with the larger 69 kWh battery, mated to either a single-motor rear-wheel drive or a powerful dual-motor all-wheel drive setup producing up to 422 HP of power and 543 Nm of peak torque.
Minimalist Tech & Next-Level Safety

Step inside, and you will witness the minimalist Swedish design. The dashboard boasts a 12.3-inch vertical infotainment touchscreen integrated with wireless connectivity. While getting behind the wheel, the driver will see a streamlined driver’s display along with a brand-new steering wheel with tidy ergonomic controls.
Safety features will include advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), adaptive cruise, collision alert, multiple airbags, and a 360-degree camera, true to Volvo’s pedigree.
Market Position and Impact
The Volvo EX30 will be locally assembled at Volvo’s Hoskote facility near Bengaluru, potentially making it more accessible and catering to the competitive budget. The car will be tough competition for its rivals like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and BYD Seal.
Conclusion
The Volvo EX30 will demonstrate its blend of perfection and safety once launched in India. The car might be expected to launch in the upcoming festive season in India or later this year. Keep your eyes peeled—Volvo’s smallest, boldest EV could just be your next city champion.
