The Indian two-wheeler market is considered the largest in the world. With over 1.85 million units sold in October 2025. Yet, the demand continues to rise steadily due to the introduction of the new GST 2.0 reforms and additional discounts during the festive season. Most demands were on the surge for affordable models under the 350 cc segment. This month, trusted commuter motorcycles and sporty roadsters dominated sales charts, reflecting the buyers' renewed confidence and desire for style, efficiency, and affordability.
The sales boom was led by the ever-popular Hero Splendor Plus, alongside strong performers from Honda and Bajaj. All these Indian brands proved that Indian riders still value reliability and fuel efficiency over mileage and performance. Here's everything you need to know about the top 5 best-selling bikes in India in October 2025.

These bikes captivated buyers with their reliability, style, and efficiency.
The following list offers an in-depth look at their sales performance, specs, and what makes them India’s favorites this season.

The Hero Splendor Plus soared to the top, with monthly sales crossing 360,000 units. Renowned for unmatched reliability, impressive fuel efficiency of 6 kmpl, and comfortable ergonomics, it continues to be the preferred choice for daily commuters in both urban and rural India. The recent GST-driven price reduction made the Splendor Plus even more accessible, catalyzing demand during the festive season.
Honda's Shine 125 confirmed its strong position by selling over 150,000 units in October. Its 123.94 cc engine delivering 10.59 HP ensures smooth, refined performance, appealing to riders balancing mileage and power. With an ARAI-certified mileage of 55 kmpl and sleek styling, the Shine remains a favorite among value-conscious commuters.
The sporty Bajaj Pulsar 125 family, including NS125 and N125 versions, delivered over 90,000 sales. Powered by a 124.4 cc DTS-i engine with 11.64 HP of power and 10.8 Nm of peak torque, the Pulsar 125 perfectly blends aggressive styling and spirited performance while maintaining decent fuel economy of around 65 kmpl Attractive festive discounts and bike-lover appeal helped it secure a top-five spot.
Hero HF Deluxe, with sales above 110,000 units, stood firm as a top choice for budget-conscious buyers. Its lightweight frame, combined with an efficient 97.2 cc engine delivering 7.9 HP and excellent fuel efficiency of 65 kmpl, continues to fuel its success, especially in semi-urban and rural regions.
The Bajaj Platina range, which includes the Platina 100 and 110, saw an impressive 60% month-on-month sales growth, totaling over 62,000 units. Known for its smooth ride, high mileage of 70 kmpl, and rider comfort, the Platina’s resurgence is attributed to its evolving features and GST-friendly pricing.

The October 2025 sales surge reflects the combined impact of the GST cut for motorcycles up to 350 cc (from 28% to 18%) and the season of festivities that traditionally stimulate vehicle purchases. Rural and urban demand both accelerated, benefiting affordable and reliable models. Hero MotoCorp and Bajaj Auto capitalized efficiently on this opportunity, strengthening their market leadership. The consumer focus on mileage, reliability, and post-sale service remains paramount, while enhanced styling and tech features gain traction in younger demographics.
October 2025 vividly illustrates the resilience and dynamism of India's two-wheeler market. The Hero Splendor Plus’s continued dominance highlights the enduring appeal of trusted commuters, while the Honda Shine 125 and Bajaj Pulsar 125 cater to those seeking a blend of style and substance. Cost-effective models like the Hero HF Deluxe and Bajaj Platina complement these with high mileage and comfort.
