Toyota has taken the wraps off the facelifted version of its popular Corolla Cross, providing a refreshing update to the SUV. The Corolla Cross, essentially an SUV variant of the Corolla sedan, shares its modular TNGA-C platform with the Innova Hycross and several other models worldwide.
Enhanced Features
The mid-life facelift introduces notable styling changes to bring the Corolla Cross in line with Toyota's global SUV lineup. A redesigned grille featuring a distinctive honeycomb pattern takes center stage, along with a reprofiled front bumper and updated headlights with sequential turn signals. The addition of a new trim piece connects the Toyota logo to the revised headlamp design, creating a cohesive and modern look.

Inside, the Corolla Cross facelift boasts a digital cockpit with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch infotainment screen. The cabin receives a touch of luxury with the inclusion of a new panoramic sunroof featuring a frameless design and an electric sunshade. The upgraded Toyota Safety Sense ADAS suite enhances safety features, and minor tweaks to the interior complete the comprehensive list of improvements.
Despite the aesthetic upgrades, the powertrain options remain unchanged. Customers can choose between a naturally aspirated 138hp, 1.8-liter petrol engine with a CVT automatic or a 1.8-liter petrol-hybrid generating a combined 121hp paired with an e-CVT gearbox.
Corolla Cross India Launch

Originally slated as a potential made-in-India product for both domestic and export markets, the Corolla Cross SUV, internally known as the Toyota C SUV, faced a setback. Toyota had previously announced its plans to manufacture the new SUV at its third facility in Karnataka, with production scheduled to begin in June 2026, aiming for an annual volume of 75,000 units. However, sources now reveal that the project, codenamed 340 D, failed to meet the necessary technical and commercial viability. As a result, Toyota has decided to suspend the plans for the Corolla Cross's India launch. This decision marks a change in the company's strategy, altering the landscape for its future product lineup in the country.
