Triumph Launches Tiger 900 Alpine and Desert Editions in India

Triumph has introduced two new special editions of the Tiger 900 in India: the Alpine Edition and the Desert Edition. The Alpine Edition is priced at Rs 15.35 lakh, while the Desert Edition costs Rs 16.05 lakh (ex-showroom, India). These models were previously unveiled in international markets.

The Alpine Edition carries a premium of Rs 95,000 over the standard GT Pro. In contrast, the Desert Edition is priced Rs 10,000 lower than the Rally Pro model. Both motorcycles use the latest Tiger 900 platform and come with unique styling and factory-fitted accessories.
Key Features and Specifications

The Triumph Tiger 900 Alpine Edition is designed for road and touring use. It is based on the GT Pro and features a Snowdonia White and Sapphire Black paint scheme with blue accents. Touring-oriented details and an Akrapovič exhaust are included as standard equipment.
The Tiger 900 Desert Edition is based on the Rally Pro and has a more off-road-focused design. It features Baja Orange highlights, extra protection equipment, and adventure-oriented styling. Like the Alpine Edition, it also comes with an Akrapovič silencer.
Both special editions are powered by Triumph’s 888cc liquid-cooled inline three-cylinder T-Plane engine. This engine produces 108 HP at 9,500 rpm and 90 Nm of torque at 6,850 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and features a bi-directional quickshifter.
Pricing and Equipment Details
The pricing approach for these editions is notable. The Alpine Edition is Rs 95,000 more expensive than the GT Pro, reflecting its touring features and unique styling. The Desert Edition, despite its added protection equipment and distinctive design, is Rs 10,000 less expensive than the Rally Pro model it is based on.
The Tiger 900 range continues to offer premium suspension hardware, a TFT instrument cluster, multiple riding modes, and a comprehensive electronics suite. These features are standard across the lineup, including the new special editions.
Additional Launch Context
Triumph showcased these two Tiger 900 editions alongside its updated Bonneville range. Other global reveals included the Street Triple 765 RX and the Speed Twin 1200 RS Cafe Racer Edition. These launches highlight Triumph’s focus on expanding its premium motorcycle offerings in India and globally.
