Triumph Motorcycles has expanded its presence in the premium single-cylinder motorcycle segment with the launch of two models in India. The company has introduced the new Speed T4, priced at ₹2.17 lakh (ex-showroom), as its entry-level offering, and unveiled the MY25 Speed 400, an updated version of the existing Speed 400, priced at ₹2.4 lakh (ex-showroom). The launch of Speed T4 and MY25 Speed 400 aims to cater to diverse rider preferences and intensify competition against rivals like the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda CB300R, and Yezdi Roadster.

The Speed T4 is positioned as a more relaxed variant in Triumph's 400cc line-up. The bike is available in Pearl Metallic White, Cocktail Wine Red, and Phantom Black.

Key features of the Speed T4 include:

  • 398cc TR series engine producing 31 PS at 7,000 RPM and 36 Nm at 5,000 RPM
  • 30% increase in mid-range inertia for improved rideability
  • Manual throttle body for enhanced control
  • 43mm RSU telescopic front forks and dual-channel ABS

The MY25 Speed 400 retains its performance-oriented character while introducing several updates:

  • Higher-profile tires for improved ride quality
  • Enhanced seating comfort for longer journeys
  • Adjustable levers for better ergonomics

The MY25 Triumph Speed 400 has four color options: Racing Yellow, Pearl Metallic White, Racing Red, and Phantom Black.

Both models share features such as a slipper clutch and USB charging port. The introduction of these models reflects the Triumph-Bajaj alliance's strategy to broaden its customer base in the growing premium motorcycle market.

Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director, Bajaj Auto Ltd., stated - “With the launch of the Speed T4 and MY25 Speed 400, we continue our commitment to expanding Triumph’s range in India. These models blend heritage with innovation, offering both relaxed and performance-oriented riders something special. The Triumph and Bajaj Alliance has put out almost 60,000 bikes of the TR series to over 50 countries including India. We are delighted with the customer acceptance and the widening base of the franchise. This motivates us to keep pushing the boundaries together and build the modern classic segment for a larger audience.”
