TVS Motors is gearing up to introduce its first adventure motorcycle, the Apache RTX 310 Adventure. This bike will mark a significant expansion in TVS's motorcycles lineup, which will include the adventure segment, along with a range of premium motorcycles under the Apache and Ronin brands. The new adventure aka ADV model is expected to be based on the shared 310 platform developed in collaboration with BMW. According to the latest insights, a prototype of the 300cc ADV bike has been spotted during testing, with expectations for its mid-2025 launch.
The TVS Apache RTX 310 ADV will compete directly with popular models such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan and KTM 390 Adventure. Notably, TVS has also mocked a scrambler variant of its Ronin line, which indicates further diversification in its lineups.
Expected Features and Specifications
Speculation around the features of the Apache RTX 310 ADV suggests that it will be positioned under the Apache brand, potentially using the “Apache RTX” alias. This aligns with TVS's branding strategy where RR denotes supersport models and RTR refers to street fighters.
Furthermore, the visuals from internal presentations hint at a well-designed adventure tourer that will feature a semi-fairing and a tall windscreen to improve rider comfort against wind resistance.
Key components likely to be included are:
Wheels: Expected to feature 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels equipped with tubeless tyres.
Suspension: Fully adjustable suspension settings for both front and rear, allowing riders to personalise their ride experience.
Braking System: Disc brakes on both ends with switchable dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety.
Electronic Features:
- An advanced IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) that enables functions like cruise control, cornering control, and various ABS modes.
- Ventilated seats for both rider and pillion.
- A TFT display that includes features such as music control and navigation.
Engine Specifications:
The Apache RTX 310 ADV is expected to be powered by a familiar 310cc reverse-inclined, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine configuration is expected to deliver similar performance metrics as seen in the recently updated Apache RR 310, producing around 37.5 bhp and 29 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and bi-directional quick-shifter.
In summary, the upcoming TVS Apache RTX 310 ADV is set to stir things up in the adventure motorcycle segment by providing strong performance and high-tech features tailored for long tours, off-roading, and adventure enthusiasts.
