TVS Motor Company is all set to expand its revolution for sustainable mobility. The brand has recently announced that they are going to introduce an all-new electric scooter in the lineup on August 28, 2025. TVS has stated that this new electric scooter, named Orbiter, will bridge the gap between the premium iQube variant and the standard two-wheeler EV solution.
The letter O in the recent teaser shows that the scooter would have a name with the initial O, so the electric scooter was likely to be called TVS Orbiter, as the brand had trademarked its name before. This upcoming e-scooter aims to be budget-friendly and caters to daily commuting rides. Let's look at the upcoming TVS Orbiter and what we can expect from this scooter for Indian customers.
The upcoming TVS Orbiter is considered to be the most affordable model under the TVS portfolio. Strategically priced around or at the Rs 1.0 Lakh mark in the Indian automotive market. This price positioning is significant as it will attract urban commuters and first-time EV buyers seeking a trustworthy and cost-effective ride. The TVS Orbiter will directly compete with popular rivals like the Ola S1X, Bajaj Chetak lower trims, and Vida VX2.
As per the reports, TVS plans to keep the costs down by implementing a smaller battery pack as a power unit and a simpler yet effective drivetrain choice widely regarded for cost-efficiency. Moreover, the brand has filed a design patent in Indonesia, which seems to be sportier and minimalistic.

As the brand has not revealed any further details about the design and specs of the scooter. We suggest that the scooter have a sleek, sporty design with racing decals carried from the TSV Ntroq. The scooter will most likely have a minimalist design and use the same platform as the TVS iQube. In a recent teaser image, we can see that the e-scooter is mounted on large alloy wheels.
Talking about its features and specs, the brand is expected to offer LED lighting elements and possibly a taller windscreen for wind protection. To keep the cost under every possibility, the e-scooter might have a TFT digital instrument panel with basic Bluetooth connectivity. The front fascia of the vehicle will have a boxy rectangular LED headlamp with DRLs integrated within the indicators. The Orbiter's rear features flush-fitting light elements similar to those found on the TVS Jupiter 110.
For safety, the brand will be adding dual-rear shock absorbers and front disc brakes so that you receive a comfortable ride while commuting every day. You may also get a boot storage capacity similar to that of Jupiter. However, the scooter will derive its power from a swingarm-mounted electric motor.
With the launch of the TVS Orbiter, TVS will have the most affordable electric scooter in the lineup. In fact, after iQube, it will be the second electric two-wheeler from TVS. By offering affordability, practicality, and efficient design, TVS is poised to attract a diverse buyer base eager for reliable and green urban transport.
