Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer, Ultraviolette, is gearing up to revolutionize long-distance touring on its flagship model, the F77. The company has announced a strategic partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to establish fast-charging stations at key HP petrol pumps nationwide.
Expanding Horizons in 12 States
In the initial phase of this collaboration, Ultraviolette plans to roll out its fast-charging infrastructure in 12 select states. The focus is not just on metropolitan areas but also extends to national and state highways, ensuring accessibility in remote locations. This move is aimed at addressing the range anxiety often associated with electric vehicles, providing riders the freedom to explore distant destinations.
Beyond City Limits
Ultraviolette's commitment to placing charging stations in remote areas underscores its dedication to overcoming charging infrastructure challenges. The move aligns with the brand's claim that the Ultraviolette F77 has the highest range among electric bikes in India, with an impressive 307km claimed range. This electric motorcycle is also touted as the most powerful one in the country, adding to its allure for riders seeking both performance and practicality.

Leveraging HPCL's Extensive Network
Partnering with HPCL, a major player in the petroleum industry, is a strategic move for Ultraviolette. The vast network of HP petrol pumps across India provides an established infrastructure that can significantly contribute to minimizing range anxiety. This collaboration follows in the footsteps of other industry players, such as Honda Two-Wheelers India and Gogoro, who have previously teamed up with HPCL to set up battery swap stations, aiming to accelerate the adoption of electric bikes and scooters across the nation.
