German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has announced to launch collector edition for its flagship Mercedes-AMG G63 model. It will be an India-inspired model, paying tribute to India's vibrant culture and landscape. The Mercedes-Benz G63 Collector's Edition will be available in limited numbers and receive comprehensive cosmetic enhancements inside and out to attract exclusive luxury car buyers in the country. However, the model will continue to get power from a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine coupled with 48V mild hybrid technology, delivering 585 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. The Mercedes-Benz G63 Collector's Edition's launch date is June 12, 2025.
Tata has announced the launch of the Tata Harrier EV, the electric version of the Tata Harrier ICE, on June 3. Tata's Harrier EV will be built on an acti.ev+ platform specifically designed for electric vehicles with flat floors and roomy interiors. The SUV will likely arrive with AWD and a multi-link rear suspension system to deliver enhanced performance and superior comfort. While the specification details haven't been revealed publicly, it's rumored to offer 500 km of range on a single charge and come mated with a dual motor setup for compelling multi-terrain performance. Tata's upcoming SUV will suit both city and adventure drive requirements.
While it will be an MPV, MG is anticipated to launch its MG M9 in June 2025. The model is said to be the rebranded version of the Maxus Mifa 9 sold in international markets. The MPV boasts a silhouette similar to the Toyota Vellfire and gets a clean exterior design with an LED projector headlight setup. The MG M9 MPV features 19-inch alloy wheels and connected LED taillights. As per the available details, the model will be available in both six and seven-seater options and will also get a single-pane sunroof for the front passengers and a panoramic sunroof for the rear passengers. Additional features like three-zone climate control, ventilated and powered front and second-row seats, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS are also expected.
Maruti Suzuki is also readying itself to enter in electric vehicle market with its all-new e-Vitara. Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara will be the brand's first EV and borrow design elements from its ICE counterpart. Suzuki's upcoming electric car will fall in the mid-size SUV segment, rivaling the Hyundai Creta EV, Mahindra BE6, and MG ZS EV. The automaker can offer this flagship SUV in two battery pack options, 449 kWh and 61 kWh, with a maximum range capacity of 500 km. However, the expected launch date of the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara SUV is expected by September 2025, making it one of the ideal purchases during the festive season.
